Natural skin care treatments for the highlight of your week

The highlight of anyone?s week would be the time spent experiencing a natural skin care treatments at the local spa. I often leave the spa feeling like I?m walking on air, confident, shining bright and all things are possible. Should a spa treatment be beyond your pocket, try one at home. Prepare the room by play relaxing music. My personal favourite are essential oils.

I first purchased a book directing me on natural skin care treatment to do, and what essential oils to use. Why essential oils you may ask? Each plant, flower, herb has a healing property within it which when used in the correct way can actually improve your natural wellbeing. Also the oil is absorbed by the skin relatively easily and works quickly and effectively. Natural skin care products gives one the feeling of aiding and helping to create an eco friendly world. One has that feeling of helping save our planet from an awful tragedy.

Then of course there is using herbs. The herb Rosemary stops hair loss and stimulates and revitalises the hair and treats eczema of the person?s scalp. To rid oneself of wrinkles one can boil 50g of Rosemary leaves in half a litre of wine for two minutes. This concoction is to be infused for one hour and then applied each morning and evening to remove wrinkles and freckles. More and more consumers are looking to skin care products which are using natural products and less preservatives and all those ghastly chemicals lurking around.

An avocado mashed produces a sensational masque which is a lovely natural skin care product. A lovely scrub is produced by using a combination of coarse salt (sodium) and by adding one or other essential oil or the petals of a flower. An opportunity of bathing in milk was one of Queen Nefertiti, an Egyptian queen?s favourite past time and which she claimed was the reason for her famous beautiful complexion!

My personal favourite natural skin care treatment would be the mud bath. This practice I started at a very young age (as I was informed by my parents) to play in the muddy pond in our garden. By the end of the day I was covered from top to toe in mud, and nothing short of a hosing down would get me clean, but wow what a beautiful skin I had!

It all boils down to what you feel most comfortable with, what works for your skin and what gives you the best result at the end of it.
